Emulation

WHEN I WAS LEARNING HOW TO RIDE WAVES I WOULD SIT ON THE SAND AND WATCH EVERYONE SURF.   I STUDIED THERE STYLE AND HOW THEY WOULD DEAL WITH DIFFERENT SITUATIONS.  TO IMPROVE MY PERFORMANCE I WOULD TRY TO EMULATE WHAT THEY WOULD DO.   AS I GOT BETTER I STARTED TO EMULATE THE STYLE OF MY FAVORITE RIDERS.   I WOULD TRY TO NOT COPY THEM,  BUT TO TAKE PARTS OF THERE STYLE AND FIT IT INTO WHAT I WAS TRYING TO DO.  EMULATING RIDERS THAT ARE BETTER THEN YOU IS A GOOD WAY TO ACCELERATE YOUR LEARNING CURVE.  BUT ALWAYS TRY TO KEEP YOUR  OWN STYLE.  BODYBOARDING IS LIKE ART, WE ALL USE THE SAME CANVAS  TO PAINT ON, BUT EACH PERSON DOES THERE THING A LITTLE DIFFERENT.
